Akrotiri Peninsula lies just north of the city of Chania. The peninsula of Akrotiri offers some rugged beauty both inland and as you venture onto the remote coastlines.
Some of the most visited villages in this area are Horafakia, Stavros, Kampani, Kalathas and Tersanas. Out of the 20 smaller villages only a few are sited on the coast and Stavros is the most popular of them all.
