Heraklion

Heraklion is the capital city of Crete and the largest city on the island. it is also where most flights fly into daily due to the international airport on the outskirts of the city.

Heraklion starts off with its beautiful port, where the daily catch of fresh is landed and sold. Moving into the city you will find traditional shops and cafes alongside the latest designer fashion stores.

If you have come to Heraklion for your history then you wont be dissapointed. Heraklion is close to the palace of Knossos and easily reachable by bus, it also is home to many museums including the Battle of Crete museum, Knossos Museum and many more.
