Sfakia is a small village on the south west of Crete. It is also known as Chora Sfakion but shortened to Sfakia. Its a small coastal village which has been hardly touched by the tourism that most towns and villages have embraced in Crete.
If you want a quiet holiday then this is the place to visit, it has some wonderful beaches some where you may find yourself the only visitor that day. The village is also close to Loutro which can be reached on foot.
